GRCSwitch is a ground breaking product which enables you to have privacy at the flick of a switch.

Liquid crystal technology sandwiched in laminated glass that
changes state from opaque to transparent when an electrical
current is applied.

The applications for GRCSwitch are endless, its main purpose is to grant instant privacy for interior separations. It can also be used for external applications such as facades. GRCSwitch is designed to be compatible with standard double glazed units.

Windows or office partitions, conference rooms, automatic or manual doors, show rooms, hospitals, boutiques and stores, restaurants or bars, bathrooms, kitchen partitions. Some of the places GRC Switch can change the way you see glass.

Each glass panel can be joined together or individually switched to create an interesting room divider effect.

GRC Switch can be used for both on the internal glazing and external glazing.

GRC Switch Projection Screen

GRC Switch is an optical screen which changes its visual state through electricity. By simply pressing a switch the LC film which composes the glass panel changes from transparent to opaque allowing it to be used as a high definition retro projection screen. Our products quality is so high that it is currently used by television studios to project images and to make the glass transparent.

When in the OFF state (opaque) images can be projected onto the glass creating a high definition screen.

GRC Switch is composed of:

2 outside layers of glass
2 layers of EVA lamination in between glass

1 LC (privacy) film
Two versions:

V1: Extreme privacy in OFF state (opaque
V2: Incredible transparency in ON mode

The LC film is a combination of two electrically conductive films, filled with liquid crystals and polymer. The first diagram shows the on state where the LC particles stand in one direction and so let light pass through and create transparency. In the second diagram the power is off and the particles are scattered into various directions, this impedes light passing through and causes opacity.
